For the most part, a self taught Artist, Gary creates Original Oil Paintings and Original "One of a Kind" Rustic Furniture.  The subject matter of his paintings are primarily of landscapes and rural lifestyles. Nature and wildlife also share in his selections of subject. Most all of his Rustic Furniture is made from natural forms of the 'TREE', that he gathers in the Ozarks of Missouri.

The name Big Piney Studios comes from our closeness to the Big Piney River in the Ozarks of Missouri. The River itself is a pretty well kept secret as it gets recreational competition from better known area Rivers such as the Current and Jacks Fork. The Big Piney River is a great source of inspiration for Gary and furnishes many of his resources.
